Peter Boys-Smith has a rare ability to create great food, develop and train young upcoming apprentices and to evolve the restaurant according to what our customers want.
Starting his career in New Zealand, Peter was soon awarded a scholarship in Switzerland at the Hotel Du Parc. After completing his scholarship Peter went back to New Zealand to the Plaza International hotel where he continued to produce outstanding cuisine. Peter returned to Switzerland to work at the Hotel Pratetschli as senior a la carte chef. Peter found Australia's shores a number of years later where he joined the Crowne Plaza Terrigal.
Peter has direct responsibility for all kitchen operations, compromising of 25 chefs and 10 stewards. He is continuously striving to exceed expectations and create menus, which change on a seasonal basis. Peter has been responsible for the writing and publication of the Crowne Plaza "In Room Dining" for Crowne Plaza Hotels nationally. Peter’s sights are always set on new dishes, using the best produce available in order to produce high quality meals.

Peter has devoted 12 years of service to Crowne Plaza Terrigal.
